Biography

I am the Head of Learning Technology and Innovation at the London School of Economics and Political Science. My current role is centred on leading the development of a strategic approach to teaching, learning and technology in one of the worlds leading social science institutions. I have presented and written extensively on digital identity and social media, the emergence of digital pedagogies, institutional resistances and affordances of technology, DIY education and edupunk and the education and training of independent artists. I have researched and published in community and third sector governance, the uses of community and public media for the promotion of arts and network formation processes amongst arts practitioners.
