Biography

Phil has directed Wake Forest University’s Office of Institutional Research (IR) since 2013.  Wake Forest is a highly selective research university of nearly 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students whose strong undergraduate liberal arts curriculum inspires a holistic approach to preparing graduate and professional school students.

Phil leads Institutional Research in providing numerous statistical summaries and analyses of university data to institutional leadership, the public, as well as federal, state, and accrediting bodies. He collaborates across the university planning efforts at all levels with research, policy analysis, data governance, and outcome assessment.  Additionally, he serves as Wake Forest’s accreditation liaison with the institution’s US Dept of Education regional accreditor, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
