Pomy Valero
Biography
Pomona Valero is an Associate Director for Application Services in Computing Services at Carnegie Mellon University. She is responsible for leading, supervising, and managing activities for the following areas in the Client Services group: Academic Software (LMS, clickers, etc), AV/IT Architecture (AV system design, streaming, and videoconferencing), Software Platforms (support of operational efficiency for desktop management, software packing and distribution, and patch/update capabilities), and Client Application Services (email, calendar, cloud storage, and web services). Pomona currently is serving on the ANSI/InfoComm International Task Group for the review of Standards for Audiovisual Design and Coordination Processes. In addition to a BA from the University of Pittsburgh, Pomona is an alumna of the EDUCAUSE Leadership Institute 2007, completed the Project Management Certification program from Boston University, certified in ITIL at the Foundation Level, is a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Project Management Institute, a Certified AV Professional with Infocomm International, and a DigitalMedia 4K Certified Designer with Crestron.EDUCAUSE Presentations
