Biography

Dr. Raketa Ouedraogo-Thomas is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte whose scholarship examines the intersection of education policy, leadership, and systemic improvement. With over two decades of experience as a classroom teacher and educational leader, her research explores how policy, leadership practices, and organizational systems sustain or disrupt equity efforts, particularly within STEM education and in response to place-based community challenges. She employs collaborative and critical methodologies to inform equity-centered strategies that bridge research and practice in meaningful, context-responsive ways.
