Rebecca Blakiston

Biography

I have been a librarian working within the Instructional Services Team at the University of Arizona since 2008. My primary role is supporting faculty and instructors by working with them to incorporate information literacy into their classes. This involves consulting with instructors on their syllabus development, developing research assignments, and designing and developing digital learning objects. I have created online lessons using Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, Articulate, Adobe Presenter, and Elluminate. My interests include scenario-based learning, virtual learning environments, and assessment methods. The other part of my job is managing and implementing a road map for our library website. This involves chairing the Website Steering Group, organizing usability testing, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. My interests include user experience, information seeking behaviors, and information architecture.
