Rebecca Petersen


Rebecca serves on the faculty at both Northeastern and Brandeis Universities teaching learning analytics in the master's in education programs. She also teaches courses in global studies and international education. 

Prior to transitioning to a faculty role, she was the Director of Research and Education Initatives at edX, leading research and grant efforts in blended and open online learning in the early days of the MOOC era.  She began her career in higher education in 1999, joining Lesley University to lead a new center focused on technology and faculty development, transforming the center into the eLearning and Instructional Support team supporting academic technology, instructional design, and media services for the university. Rebecca is a Frye Fellow (Leading Change Institute) alumni and previous chair the Teaching and Learning Committee for Educause.
