Biography

Rich Hidalgo – Director SLED – West: Rich joined GuidePoint Security in January 2024 following an extensive tenure as Public Sector Sales Leader with a large national reseller. He currently leads sales and marketing development across ten Western U.S. states, driving growth and customer relationships. Rich began a public sector career in municipal fire services in San Diego County, where he played an operational role and later led interagency coordination efforts. Over the decade, he participated in and facilitated numerous exercises involving local and federal agencies, including fire departments, law enforcement, public works, IT departments, city management, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, and the U.S. Border Patrol. Rich earned a Master of Science in Homeland Security from San Diego State University, specializing in Cybersecurity and Organizational Management.
