Biography

I am the Director of Open and Digital Learning at Achieving the Dream and a member of ATD’s Teaching & Learning team, where I lead the development of services that support the effective and equitable implementation of online and adaptive learning, digital tools, open educational resources, and open educational teaching practices. I also lead ATD’s Teaching and Learning with OER study, a research project funded by the Hewlett Foundation and focused on understanding the innovative ways faculty use OER in the classroom. Previously I led ATD's OER Degree Initiative, an innovative research project that investigated the academic and economic outcomes of deploying OER degree programs at 38 community colleges. Before joining ATD, I was the Director of Teaching and Learning Technologies for the Virginia Community College System.

I frequently present on open educational resources, OER degrees, digital and open learning, and other educational topics. I live in Richmond, VA.
