Biography

Dr. Richard Bakken serves as Chief Information Officer for the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University.  

Dr. Bakken's research is focused on leadership, technology, and student affairs.  He has published and presented on topics in higher education administration and leadership that include informing administrators how students describe their learning experiences in Western university environments (based on research conducted at Education City in Doha, Qatar), strategies to meet their needs, and ways that technology can impact the process.  More information on the schools in Education City can be found here.
