Rick Mauney

Biography

Richard Mauney consults with faculty in the design and development of their online course materials, activities, and assessments. He creates tutorials, leads workshops, and provides individual instruction to faculty and students on use of technology in support of theological education. He also facilitates educational media production, administers the course management system, and manages online technology and media tools. He is experienced in instructional and information design, learning technology, creative writing, technical writing, course development, and learning management systems.

Prior to coming to CTU, Richard served as Senior Instructional Designer at the University of Chicago where he designed and developed systems training and performance support programs for administration. He also served as academic technology liaison for the university's graduate Social Sciences Division and School of Social Services Administration, and administrator of Blackboard and Topyx learning management systems. He has extensive experience in designing and writing for multiple learning and educational media including print, video, multimedia, and e-learning. He has designed and developed training courses and performance support tools for numerous clients including the University of Chicago, Accenture, IBM, AT&T, Allstate Insurance, ITC Learning, California Peace Officer Standards and Training, Florida Department of Health, and more.
