Rick Provine


Rick E. Provine is the Director of Libraries at DePauw University. Prior to that, he served as Director of User Services and Associate Director of Libraries (DePauw), Director of Media at the University of Virginia Libraries and as Electronic Systems Coordinator at the Indiana University Undergraduate Library. While at Virginia, he developed the institution’s first multimedia center, and eventually, the state-of-the-art Robertson Media Center and Digital Media Lab. He has published and spoken on media collections, new technologies and multimedia. He has held several offices in the American Library Association including Chair of the Video Round Table, Chair of ACRL’s Media Resources Committee, and Chair of the ACRL/ARTS’ Film and Broadcast Studies Discussion Group.
