As Digital Design & Access Librarian and Professor at Dakota State University, Risë Smith teaches how to find, evaluate, and use information; helps individuals find needed information; designs, creates content, and manages development of the library's web pages; and supervises circulation and interlibrary loan. Risë holds a Masters degree in anthropology, a Masters degree in library science and has completed coursework and preliminary exams for a Ph.D. in the School of Information at the University of Michigan. Her research interests include Web-based digital library design and the development of Web-based instruction for information literacy.
