Biography

Robbie is the Executive Director of Academic Technology and the Canvas Administrator for New Mexico State University. His main role is faculty support/training for Canvas. He has worked as faculty support staff for WebCT/Blackboard and as project manager/distance education coordinator for the College of Extended Learning at NMSU. Robbie's teaching experience includes assisting with training sessions for faculty using WebCT/Blackboard as well as facilitating student WebCT/Blackboard training sessions. As primary media contact for the NMSU athletic department while acquiring his undergraduate degree in marketing, Robbie was responsible for the design, development, and production of promotional materials and media guides. Robbie has an extensive background in conducting faculty workshops related to the use of the university's learning management systems (WebCT, Blackboard and Canvas) as well as other campus wide educational technologies, such as Respondus, iTunes U, Softchalk and Mediasite. Robbie received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor’s of Business Administration - Marketing from New Mexico State University. Originally from Deming, N.M., Robbie and wife Laura, have three children, Chantelle, 30, Shaunia, 26, and Ethan, 21.
