Rob Luikart

Biography

Robert B. Luikart is the Chief Information Officer for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at the Ohio State University, where he is responsible for strategic and tactical planning, internal consulting, project management, systems development, implementation, and support of Information technology for the college and for OSU Extension. He coordinates the efforts of I/T professional staff throughout the college and provides administrative leadership for the Computer Operations Unit of the Communications and Technology Department. These responsibilities span three campuses, 88 Extension offices, 12 research stations, and three farm laboratories, in support of 2,200 faculty/staff and 3,200 students. At the university level, Rob is an active participant with the I/T Partnership Council, an effort to bring distributed I/T leaders together to work collaboratively with Ohio State's CIO on enterprise-wide initiatives. Rob holds a Masters in Business Administration with emphasis in Management Information Systems from the University of Dayton, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Dual Major in Computer and Information Science from the Ohio State University, and an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology.
