Biography
Bobby Schnabel is Vice Provost for Academic and
Campus Technology at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
In this position he serves as founding director of the Alliance
for Technology, Learning and Society (ATLAS), an innovative
campus-wide institute that serves as a catalyst for
multidisciplinary curricular, research and outreach activities
involving the content and tools of information technology.
He also serves as chief information officer for the campus,
with responsibilities including planning and oversight for
information technology and educational technology.
He has been a faculty member in the Department of Computer
Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder since 1977,
and has served as department chair and as associate dean of
academic affairs for the College of Engineering.
