Bob Corbin

Biography

Bob Corbin is Senior Director of Infrastructure at The Ohio State University.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with over 30 years of experience in information technology. 

Bob began his career in telecommunications at Ohio State in 1985 assisting with the conversion of telephone services from Ohio Bell to the university owned PBX.  Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions ranging from Director of Telecommunications & Networking, Director of Customer Experience, Director of Customer Solutions, and Senior Director of Infrastructure. 

Most recently, Bob has provided leadership in transforming the culture of Infrastructure toward becoming high performing agile teams focused on delivering trusted quality services to the university community while merging IT teams from 20+ distributed units into a single service provider.  Over the past 24 months, Infrastructure implemented Skype for Business and Office 365 services, consolidated more than 15 active directories, expanded WiFi by 80%, relocated its primary data center, prioritized security initiatives, and communicated a technology roadmap focused on simplifying and streamlining service offerings. 

Bob represents OSU at the Big 10 Academic Alliance Infrastructure Directors committee, ServiceNow user group, OARNet & Internet 2 advisory boards, Aruba customer advisory boards, and various other technical organizations.  He has spoken at several events including Aruba Atmosphere, HP Discover, Pink Elephant, Educause, and ServiceNow Knowledge.
