Robert Granado

Biography

 Robert Granado Jr is an Assistant Director for Academic Technologies in the Office of Academic Innovation at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is responsible for facilitating the promotion, creative utilization, and optimization of services for interactive enterprise applications to UTSA Faculty, Staff & Students. This includes creating an environment that enables UTSA to take full advantage of interactive technology from training, implementation, and measurement. Robert also specializes in interactive communication systems for classrooms, conference rooms, and other spaces so that they continually evolve to meet the university’s academic & administrative needs.

Robert conducts research in the areas of emerging and new technologies that can be integrated into the course curriculum with the goal of enhancing the student's learning experience.  He has presented at conferences and hosted workshops on these topics. His current project involves the technical support and pedagogy practices needed for incorporating VR & AR mixed technology.  

Robert has worked for UTSA’s Academic Technologies since 1996, starting as a media technician and progressing upward to his current technical management position. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996.
