Bob Hartland

Biography

Bob Hartland is the Associate VP for IT Infrastructure at Baylor University. He earned two degrees from Baylor, a BS in Physics/Geophysics (1981) and a MS in Physics (1983). Upon graduation, he worked seven years as an Exploration Geophysicist and Chaired the Credit Union’s Board of Directors. In 1990 he took a position at Baylor as Network Administrator and taught labs in geophysics. His team oversees the Data Center, physical security (access control and cameras), telephony, High Performance Computing, email, enterprise servers, broadband video, and cellular-RF-IP networks. He has and continues to serve on the boards of nonprofit organizations and is deeply involved with family and Church.
