Robert Loy

Biography

Dr. Robert Loy is an accomplished academic and technology professional with over 20 years of experience in the technology sector. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Dean and Executive Director at Grand Canyon University, where he has been instrumental in developing innovative educational programs in technology and engineering.

With a Bachelor's in Communication, a Master's in Computer Information Systems, and nearing completion of his Ph.D. in Data Analytics, Dr. Loy has dedicated his career to enhancing technology education. He has spent 18 years as an adjunct professor, teaching software development and eCommerce, and has played a pivotal role in shaping curriculum and assessments for bachelor's and master's programs in AI, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics.

Dr. Loy's leadership extends beyond academia into impactful community and industry partnerships. He has been actively involved in the N-CAE CyberAI designation planning with the NSA and contributes to ABET accreditation processes. His commitment to fostering educational opportunities is evident in his development of internship programs for high school students and the Fellowship for Innovation and Research in STEM, which he founded to support underserved communities.

He has been recognized for his strategic vision in integrating technology with educational initiatives, ensuring students are well-prepared for the challenges of modern tech landscapes.
