Rob Vanderlan

Biography

Dr. Robert Vanderlan is a senior associate director in the Center for Teaching Innovation at Cornell University, leading a team that offers instructional design expertise to faculty using a range of learning technology tools. Most recently, Rob has helped lead the Center for Teaching Innovations response to emergency remote, in-person, and online teaching. In addition to nine years supporting faculty teaching development, Rob has been an instructional designer for a wide range of online and blended courses. Rob graduated from Cornell with a bachelor’s degree in government, holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan, and a doctorate in U.S. history from the University of Rochester.
