Rod Everhart

Biography

As President of Global Education Solutions, Rod is responsible for leading the division in its delivery of software and professional services to the higher education market. Working in concert with the executive staff, Rod establishes the vision as well as the growth strategies for Global Education Solutions.

Rod was appointed President in January 1998. This marks his second affiliation with the company. From 1985 to 1989, he was vice president of finance & administration, treasurer, and chief financial officer for SCT.

Beginning in 1989, Rod helped lead LEXIS-NEXIS (then Mead Data Central, Inc.) as its vice president of financial resources & administration. An electronic publisher with a broad array of legal, news, and business information targeted to professional researchers and media specialists, LEXIS-NEXIS applied state-of- the-art programming and telecommunications technologies. Rod was appointed president in 1992 and remained there until March 1995, following the completion of Mead's divestiture of LEXIS-NEXIS to Reed-Elsevier plc.

After leaving LEXIS-NEXIS, Rod joined Bellcore (Bell Communications Research, Inc.) as senior vice president and chief financial officer, leading an organization responsible for the financial and administrative management of the company. He also directed the company's corporate communications and human resources functions. Prior to 1985, Rod held positions of increasing financial management responsibility with General Electric Company over a period of 19 years.

Rod has a B.S. in Management from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and is a graduate of General Electric's Financial Management Program.
