Rodger Marion

Biography

Dr. Rodger Marion studied educational psychology, communications, and computer science at the University of Kentucky. He is Distinguished Teaching Professor & Professor Emeritus at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and is Adjunct Professor of Health Informatics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Rodger and his colleagues have developed a series of Internet-based simulated patient cases. The simulations utilize short movies to illustrate the patient, his/her family, and their environment (http://smithcreekstudios.com/wider_view). Recently, he has embarked on a project developing and producing dramatic movies to be used in health science education. He also teaches about the roles of spirituality and culture in health care.
