Rogelio Guzman

Biography

Rogelio Guzman is a seasoned Project Management leader with over 21 years of experience guiding complex initiatives across higher education, operations, and technology transformation. He currently serves as Project Manager and head of the Project Management Office at Beyond Academics, where he leads large-scale efforts such as the Johns Hopkins University SIS Transformation, a $3M multi-year program with 14 concurrent workstreams.

A certified PMP, Rogelio specializes in bridging strategy and execution, with expertise in project governance, resource management, and change leadership. He is passionate about integrating AI into project management workflows to improve efficiency, decision-making, and collaboration, and he is actively developing training and tools to help project managers leverage AI in practical, impactful ways.

Rogelio also serves as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair for the Candlewick Lake Association, where he brings a strong focus on financial stewardship, transparency, and community-driven governance. With a background in creative advertising and design, he brings a unique blend of strategic, operational, and creative thinking to his work.
