Biography
Ron Johnson works in the Learning and Teaching Centre at BC Institute of Technology. Our main role is to provide instructional and curriculum design and faculty development to the institution. I've worked extensively with the School of Transportation to develop curriculum around aircraft maintenance. My education background is Master of Continuing Education, BEd, (both U of Calgary) and Engineering Technologist in Telecommunication Electronics. At a previous college I was Manager of Distributed Learning and Manager of Employee Development. Our Centre is currently implementing TEK (Technology Enhanced Knowledge) which is both updating classrooms for technology access and working with faculty to develop the knowledge and skills to effectively use the technology.
