I have been researching, developing, and teaching theory about digital engagement. This includes engagement in online and blended course with different technology, including mobile devices and multimedia. I correlate this activity to the future of online teaching and also news consumption, arguing that we need to better understand how online users seek, select, share and comprehend different types of digital information. My "I-series: course, "Information 3.0," engages students with multiple technologies and custom mobile apps. SInce 2007, I have been researching the most effective ways for students to utilize social networks and virtual learning environments.
