Higher education IT is in the midst of an exciting transformation. The economies of scale, resiliency, flexibility, and agility provided by cloud computing are rendering the construction and maintenance of on-premises data centers obsolete.
Ryan Frazier is the Managing Director of Technology at HBS Online, the digital education initiative of Harvard Business School. Ryan is responsible for all areas of technology including the design, development, and technical operations of the highly regarded HBS Online Course Platform; a Salesforce-based administrative application and registration system; and a data management initiative building a reporting and analytics platform in support of operations, course development, and academic research. He is also co-chair of Harvard’s Cloud Community of Practice group. Prior to joining HBS, Ryan was a key member of Harvard University's Infrastructure team where he was part of early efforts to develop and implement a comprehensive cloud adoption strategy for core University IT operations. Ryan lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his family and is also co-owner with his wife Salina of Diaper Lab, a local retail store specializing in natural parenting products, education, and services.
