Biography

Sam Nanayakkara is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in Global Business Operations and Digital Technology. Currently, he is teaching at UConn and manages IT at Tunxis College. Before joining the public sector, Sam played a crucial role in transforming the UTC Supply Chain eBusiness Leadership team into a digital age-adaptive team. He has also served as the Head of IT at Numotion, a medical device manufacturer backed by venture capital funding, and AeroMed LTD, a leading provider of disposable dental and medical supplies nationwide.

Sam has a diverse skillset that includes expertise in Technology, Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain across various industries, such as technology, finance, aerospace, manufacturing, insurance, and healthcare. Presently, he is leveraging his experience and knowledge to teach at UConn and work at CSCU Tunxis Community College IT. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from NJIT and an MBA from UConn.
