Sarah Roberts

Biography

Sarah Roberts has been involved in computing in higher education since 1993 and has been at Duke University since 1998. As a member of the Academic Technology Services team (part of the Office of Information Technology), Sarah has led and contributed to several major initiatives at the intersection of technology and academic endeavors. She supervises the Multimedia Project Studio (http://www.oit.duke.edu/ats/mps/). Sarah has been involved with the Internet since the early 90s and has closely followed its evolution. Most recently, she has written on the topic of blogging, related technologies and their socio-cultural impact. Sarah has a degree in French and Spanish and a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her other interests include Macintosh computers, language, culture, society and the Internet, translation, new media and electronic music culture and production.
