Scott Mandernack

Biography

Scott Mandernack serves as Associate Dean for Scholarly Resources and Collections in the Raynor Memorial Libraries at Marquette University. He oversees all aspects of collection management and scholarly communication initiatives, including the institutional repository. Scott's research interests have focused on scholarly communication initiatives in small and medium-sized libraries, as well as the pedagogical issues of information literacy in academic libraries, cultural diversity and library science education. Scott earned his BA degree in Sociology/Anthroplogy and his Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Library Association, including the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS). He has been active in the Instruction Section of ACRL and the Information Commons Discussion Group, and served on ACRL's Racial and Ethnic Diversity Committee and the Research and Scholarly Environment Committee.
