Scooter Russell

Biography

I am a creative and inspirational IT servant-leader focused on team building, organizational maturity, and process optimization.

My current role is as the Director of Technology for The Art of Education University where I oversee all IT operations including infrastructure management, cybersecurity, enterprise application management, hardware and software acquisitions, and desktop support.

I began my IT career in 2004 and held roles in desktop support, web application development, and database development in higher education, the nonprofit sector, and the private sector before moving into my first leadership role in 2015 as the Director of IT Services for the University Libraries at Western Michigan University.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Butler University, a Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, a Doctor of Arts from Ball State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Management from Grand Valley State University.  I also hold Jamf Certified Assocaite, ITIL v3 Foundations, and Scrum Master I certifications.
