Biography

Dr. Scott "Scooter" Russell currently serves as the Director of IT for the College of Arts & Letters at the University of Notre Dame. He leads a passionate team that seeks to foster a culture of technology-enhanced academic excellence.

Scooter is an innovative and creative technology servant-leader with 18 years of IT management and technical experience, outstanding communications and customer service skills, and a passion for staff development and team building.

He holds a Doctor of Arts in Music Performance from Ball State University, a Master of Music in Music Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Butler University; as well as a Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Management from Grand Valley State Univeristy and certifications from ITIL and scrum.org.

Scooter has recently started learning to sail and loves spending time on the water.
