Sethu Nguna
Biography
Sethu Nguna is currently the Training and Instructional Design Manager at William & Mary's AidData Research Lab within the Global Research Institute.
Sethu holds a Master of Arts in Education from Liverpool John Moores University, with a thesis focus on digital transformation in higher education institutions, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Economics from the University of Zululand and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Management from the University of Fort Hare.
With over a decade in the field, she has served in various capacities such as E-course Developer at Code for Africa, where she worked on online platform strategies and courseware design, and as Lead Instructional Designer at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. There, she was responsible for stakeholder engagement, development of the institutional instructional design strategy for 2021-2024, and training academic staff on blended teaching methods. She has also served as Academic Coordinator at the University of Zululand, focusing on curriculum development, online components administration, and module assessment. Alongside those roles, Sethu has been active in research, has conducted workshops, and participated in conferences focused on digital transformation and instructional design. She has also completed advanced courses in project management and digital transformation, holds memberships in educational research associations, and has volunteered for community service.
