Biography

Academic Pathologist & Medical Educator.

Dr. Shashi has been teaching pathology for over 3 decades to both undergraduate, post graduate and allied health students. He has developed several innovative tools in medical education & teaching of Pathology which have won several University & National awards. He has developed Pacific Tele-pathology network & Innovative Post graduate Pathology program in Fiji Islands. His innovation, Digital Microscopy teaching lab at James Cook University is the first of its kind to teach microscopy to large group of students with single staff. Currently he is part of multi university consortium developing innovative, adaptive online learning modules in Health Sciences (BEST.edu.au). Shashi was awarded Young Pathologist of the year in 1990 by World Pathology Foundation and has won University & Australian national award for excellence in teaching.
