Biography

Shelly Belflower currently serves as the Director IT Software Licensing and Contract Management for Weber State University. In her role she works closely with with Product Owners to ensure the software and contracts for campus managed centrally by IT are purchased and properly licensed for all who need access. She coordinates with vendors, product owners, users and others as needed.

Her prior role from 2015 - 2024 included serving as the Director of Academic Technology Services supporting academic classrooms, media, and web development for faculty/staff, and IT Business Services, supporting IT Training, Marketing, and Communication, Financial Management for IT, and IT Policy, planning and assessment work for the IT Division.
She served as the Director of Academic Technologies, Training and Planning from 2011 - 2015.

She firt came to central IT in January of 2006, serving as the Director of Technology Services as Weber State University.
She has worked for Weber State since 1998, previously working for the School of Business and Economics as the Computer Specialist and teaching for the Information Systems & Technologies and the Health Sciences departments as an Adjunct Instructor from 2000 through 2018.

Shelly enjoys working in the educational arena, especially Higher Ed. Shelly completed her Master's in Business Administration in August 2003 and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Technologies in 2000 from Weber State University. She has completed the Managing Professional certification in ITIL and supports ITSM roles at Weber State University.
