
Sheryl Barnes
Biography
Sheryl Barnes is Director, Digital Learning in Residential Education at MIT’s Office of Open Learning where she helps faculty leverage digital technologies to transform teaching and learning for MIT students. She has more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of faculty, technology, and teaching; at Tufts and Harvard before MIT. Sheryl also spent 10 years as an academic adviser living in a freshman dorm at Harvard and was the webmaster at Harvard's Arnold Arboretum. She received her Ed.M. in Technology in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and her B.A. in Biology & Society/Government from Cornell University.
