Dr. Shouan Pan is an experienced community college leader, with 20 plus years of administrative and teaching experience in higher education. Dr. Pan was appointed as President of Mesa Community College in Mesa Arizona in December 2007. Prior to the current position, Dr. Pan had held various senior-level administrative positions at Broward College, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Community College of Philadelphia, Northern Arizona University, and Central Arizona College.
Dr. Shouan Pan has extensive community involvement experience, including Board of Directors, American Association of Community Colleges, Chair of Global Education Commission, AACC, National Asian Pacific Islander Council, Mesa United Way Board, Mesa Chamber of Commerce, East Valley Partnership, and International Leadership Committee of Greater Phoenix Economic Council.
Dr. Pan has received many honors and awards, including Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and Educator of the Year, Holocaust Documentation and Education Center, Inc.
