Sophie Lesinska

Biography

Zofia (Sophie) Lesinska is a library faculty member at the University of Southern California (USC). She is the Literary Studies Librarian and collaborates with the English, French, Italian, and Slavic Languages and Literatures departments. She holds a Ph.D. in English and a master’s in Library Science, both from the University of Iowa. Before moving to the United States, she completed her undergraduate degree in English at the University of Warsaw in Poland, where she was born and raised. She has published scholarly articles in literary studies and library science. Her book, Perspectives of Four Women Writers on the Second World War, was published by Peter Lang in 2002. Over the last 20 years, she has worked in various roles at USC Libraries, including leading reference services and managing specialized libraries. She enjoys working with students, teaching research skills and helping them to focus their research and find relevant sources.
