Sophie White

Biography

Sophie White has worked in higher education for over 10 years, both on the institutional side and in the corporate partner space. She is currently the Showcase Program Manager for EDUCAUSE and directs both strategy and operations for EDUCAUSE's Showcase Series. 

Her work has connected her with groups across higher ed including IT teams, Student Affairs, Housing Officers, Faculty, and more. She's visited over 150 college campuses and has competencies in strategy development, consensus-building, project management, and public speaking. 

Her aspirations for higher education include creating a more equitable student experience and leveraging technology, in tandem with human guidance, to create value for higher ed. 

Sophie grew up in southern Maine, and earned B.A. degrees in English Literature and Political Science and an M.A. in English Literature from the University of New Hampshire. 

Today, Sophie is very involved in the Denver community. In her free time she enjoys reading and exploring the mountains for activities, from backcountry snowboarding to hiking and mountain biking. She’s an avid traveler and also volunteers to support individuals in Denver who are housing insecure through an organization called Back on My Feet
