Biography
Sophie White is passionate about higher education and has institutional and industry higher education experience. Sophie joined EDUCAUSE in 2021.
As Content Marketing and Program Manager, her responsibilities currently include using content marketing strategies to champion EDUCAUSE programs and products and ensure EDUCAUSE members are using valuable resources to support the transformation of higher education in service to a greater good. Sophie manages the strategy, production, and marketing for the Showcase Series specifically and is a co-host for the EDUCAUSE Shop Talk podcast series.
She also manages the young professionals program at EDUCAUSE to increase visibility for young professionals efforts and build a young professionals community.
Her competencies include strategy development, community-building, creative collaboration, marketing, consensus-building, project management, product management, and public speaking.
Her aspirations for higher education include moving the needle towards a more equitable experience for students, faculty, and staff while empowering the next generation of student professionals.
Sophie grew up in southern Maine and completed her undergraduate and graduate education at the University of New Hampshire. While at UNH, Sophie earned two degrees in English Literature and Political Science and a Masters in English Literature.
Today, Sophie is highly involved in the Denver community and enjoys a range of outdoor activities, from backcountry snowboarding to backpacking treks. In addition to her passion for nature, Sophie loves diving into novels, spending time with her cat Rutabega, and exploring new parts of the world. Sophie has served as a volunteer leader in multiple cities with Back on My Feet, a national organization supporting local individuals who are housing insecure.
