Biography

Stan Gunn is the Executive Director for Information Technology at the University of Virginia Library. A native of Fort Worth, Mr. Gunn received his Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Texas at Tyler and his Masters in Library and Information Science at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to UVA, Mr. Gunn served as the Chief Information Officer at Austin Community College. He has also worked as a computer training coordinator for the University of Texas System, as a freelance journalist, as a systems analyst, a programmer, a network manager, the Chief Information Officer for a state agency in Texas, and as a project manager for IBM. Mr. Gunn is also an associate faculty at the University of Texas, where he currently teaches a graduate course in Database Management in the School of Information.
