Biography
Stephen Swart currently serves as the Information Technology Solutions Architect for UNC Wilmington. Over his 27 year career in technology with the institution he has provided desktop support, been a software developer, systems analyst, systems integrator, database administrator, systems administrator, IT infrastructure architect, divisional data center manager, and business analyst. In that time he has directed a diversity of projects and services ranging from designing electronic physical access control to developing commodity sales of recyclable materials and most things in between.
Swart received a BS in computer science and is currently pursuing an MBA at UNCW. He is a member of the University Innovation Council, the University Sustainability Committee and is a contributing technology writer for Ideal Living magazine. He has also served as the chair of the city of Wilmington’s Historical Preservation Commission.
