This research bulletin provides policymakers with an introduction to the evolving national cyberinfrastructure, discusses the role that new networking and enabling technologies play in integrating institutional research capabilities, and describes the impact these technologies may have on today's higher education research and on campus IT planning.
BiographySteve Daigle is Senior Research Associate in the Information Technology Services division of the CSU Chancellor's Office. He has been with the Chancellor's Office for almost 20 years, half in IT and half in Academic Affairs. He performs policy research on major issues involving IT in California, and is active on the national scene as well. His Ph.D. is from Indiana University.
