Steve Hazzard

Biography

Steven Hazzard is currently the Director of Application Systems in the Office of Computer Services at Temple University. He specializes in system conversions, implementation, project management and interfacing. Steve started his IT career in 1986 working in Development at Drexel University. From there he went on to convert and implement enterprise wide computer systems at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Going back to higher education, Steve joined Temple University in 1999 to convert their Development legacy system and install MIP’s Millennium system. In 2005 Steve joined the staff in Central Computing, where he oversees the Document Imaging, Financial Management and Workflow teams. Steve holds two Masters Degrees, one in Program Evaluation/Applied Research from Hahnemann University and the second in Information Studies from Drexel University. He earned his Bachelors degree in Experimental Psychology with a Minor in Personnel Management from SUNY Potsdam. Steve’s non-work time is devoted to his wife Kathy and two children Rachel and Michael. Also, when not swimming with the sharks at work, Steve can be found swimming with the sharks at the Adventure Aquarium in NJ where he has been a volunteer diver for the past 12 years.
