Susan DeRiemer

Biography

Susan A. DeRiemer, Ph.D. is Deputy Director of the Research Centers in Minority Institutions Program at Meharry Medical College and Director of the Computational Biology Core Facility. IT projects she has managed include networking research offices and labs, funding and implementing Internet2 access, and a bioinformatics training program for faculty and students. Dr. DeRiemer received her undergraduate degree from UCLA where she participated in a DARPA project on brain computer interfaces. Her doctorate in pharmacology from Yale University was followed by postdoctoral studies in biophysics at the Max-Planck Institute in Gottingen, Germany.
