Biography
Dr. Cox is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Utah Valley University. Her research interests include developmental neuropsychology, technology integration, and learner-centered teaching. She is particularly interested in finding ways to engage students in deeper learning using technology. Most recently, Dr. Cox has been studying the connection between Howard Gardner’s 5 Minds for the Future and technology. Her current project, Beforeyoujudgeme.org, encourages students to develop Respectful and Ethical minds through the creation of digital autobiographies. She also works to help junior high, high school, and university faculty better understand the psychological landscape of their students in order to improve classroom climates and instruction.
