Susan Finelli-Genovese

Biography

Dr. Susan Finelli-Genovese began at Baldwin Wallace in 2002. She is currently associate professor and associate dean for K-12 master's programs in the School of Education. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in educational technology. Finelli-Genovese earned a bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University and a master’s degree from Baldwin Wallace University. She earned a doctorate in teacher leadership at Walden University.

Finelli-Genovese’s first teaching position was at Valley Vista Elementary School in North Royalton, Ohio. She worked as a third grade teacher for 11 years and then another year in fourth grade before she took the position as curriculum facilitator for the North Royalton City School District. In this role she was an active tech coach for Pre-K-12 teachers and administrators for three years.

In her current position, she also serves as the chair of the MAED Ed Tech Advisory Committee as well as the advisor for the new BW Tech Club. Finelli-Genovese is a published author and illustrator for a series of Life's Books, LLC.   Her first three books, “Life’s Amusement Park”, “Life’s Classroom,” and "Life's Ocean" each won Mom’s Book Choice Awards, and she continues to write and illustrate books for young adults.

Finelli-Genovese is passionate about exploring and sharing dynamic tech-integrated lessons with her students. In this way, she hopes to empower future educators and make a difference in promoting an increased excitement in teaching, learning and student achievement.
