Susan A. Mason is the Director of the Education Studies Program and Director of the Oral Communication Center (OCC) at Hamilton College. Through the OCC Susan works collaboratively with faculty, students, and other learning support services to integrate discipline-specific approaches to the study and practice of oral communication. Recent projects include collaborative work with the College’s HILLgroup (a collaboration of the Library and Instructional Technology Services that supports faculty in the identification, selection, and use of technologies and content applicable to their teaching or research needs), creation of the Oral Communication Laboratory, development of partial credit discipline-specific applied oral communication courses, and numerous workshops, trainings, and consultations. Susan holds an MS in Corporate Communication from Ithaca College, an MA in Rhetoric and Communication from Albany University-SUNY, and permanent New York State K-12 teacher certification.
