Susan Mircovich
Biography
Susan Mircovich lives in Palmer Alaska and currently works as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry for Kenai Peninsula College. Previously she was the lead Instructional Designer for the Health Distance Education Partnership at the University of Alaska Anchorage. In this capacity she worked to assist School of Nursing and Allied Health faculty to adapt their classroom courses to distance delivered and hybrid courses using Blackboard. Susan teaches an 4 different online Chemistry classes and assists in the development of hybrid labs to accompany her courses. She enjoys the challenge of teaching a diverse array of students who range from oil workers at the "North Slope" to young mothers who are trying to complete their Nursing prerequisites. She earned her M.A. in Learning and Technology entirely online and enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for distance teaching and learning.EDUCAUSE Presentations
