Biography
Susan Oaks coordinates writing, literature, and communications courses for SUNY Empire State College's Center for Distance Learning, where she has worked since 1993. She has been involved in a number of projects that apply technology to further students' learning. She co-created The Writer's Complex (www.esc.edu/writer), the college's online writing lab, and she is currently developing multi-use resources for students, in addition to creating and maintaining online courses for the SUNY Learning Network. She has a Ph.D. from NYU in American Literature.
