Tammy Sumner

Biography

Tamara Sumner is executive director of Digital Learning Sciences in the Institute of Cognitive Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she is responsible for institute leadership, strategy development, and the conduct of the research program. Sumner is also an associate professor at the University of Colorado, with a joint appointment between the Institute of Cognitive Science and the Department of Computer Science. The research program is currently developing and evaluating new technologies to enable scalable personalized learning using open educational resources drawn from digital libraries. Since 2000, Sumner has published over 60 articles on personalized learning environments, human-centered design, digital libraries, and intelligent information systems.
