Biography
Dr. Tami Wyatt, assistant professor at the UT College of Nursing, currently teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She has earned two masters degrees; critical care nursing and education, and a doctorate in nursing research. Dr. Wyatt has ten years of experience in nursing education and seven years of experience in instructional design. She has expertise in online learning and ways to enhance traditional education using instructional technology. Dr. Wyatt has used both synchronous and asynchronous learning methods in online environments through course management tools, teleconferencing technology, chat rooms, digital stories, and self-directed web-based modules. She has used personal digital assistants, Tablet PCs, and internet access for group work to enhance traditional classrooms. Dr. Wyatt uses rapid prototyping procedures of planning and evaluation and heuristic methods of usability while developing and testing instructional materials.
